I’ve finally done it. I’ve finally set up my website/blog. After months of saying I’m going to set it up and after friends and family telling me I should share my reviews and recipes with everyone… here it is.
For those of you who don’t know me, Hello! I’m Hannah, I’m from the UK and I love food. Specifically Fine Dining. My favourite TV shows aside from Vera, are The Great British Menu and MasterChef Australia.
I trained as a dessert chef after leaving 6th form. I knew I didn’t want to go to University and so I thought to change my love of food and desserts into a career.

Sadly, the long hours and missed family events got to me, and I left the profession a few months after completing my apprenticeship. For a few years after leaving the profession, I hated the thought of cooking and baking. It was only since the pandemic that I rediscovered my love of food and thus, my solo dining nights were born.
Yes I do this solo, and no it doesn’t bother me. At first it did, but the scariest part wasn’t walking into the restaurant on my own, it was taking the first step out of the house or hotel room. Thoughts of ‘what if something happens whilst I’m walking from the hotel/home to the car and the car to the restaurant and vice versa’ overwhelmed me. I took a deep breath and that first step and never looked back.
Whilst I do love Fine Dining, I am not opposed to a local pub or restaurant, I just find that with Fine Dining/Michelin starred restaurants, they offer taster menus so you try food that you normally wouldn’t.
All reviews/opinions are my own, I’ve not been paid for any of these reviews (maybe one day) but each palette is different which is what makes food so subjective. I guess that was part of the reason why I have kept putting off sharing reviews. Well that and my shocking photography skills! You are always going to get that one troll who says ‘You don’t know what you are talking about’ or ‘I didn’t think it tasted like that’ or ‘Your blog is crap’ (it’s a work in progress, it’ll get better… I hope) etc. To that I say… each to their own.
Well I think that is all for now… Happy Dining!
